What we store on your device

Your game results, streak, and settings are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless noted below.

Your player identity

No sign-up is required. When you play, your browser creates a random secret player key, stored only on this device. Our server (hosted by Supabase) keeps only a one-way hash of it, so your guesses, scores, streak and high score are saved on our server. If you choose to type a display name (no real name needed) it appears with your scores on public leaderboards. If you choose "Save across devices", we also store your email address to send you a sign-in link.

Gameplay data

Each locked guess is sent to our server to score it. Players are identified only by the random ID stored on the device, unless you add an email.

Deleting your data

You can delete your player profile and all scores instantly from the 👤 panel (Delete account), or email the address on our Contact page with the subject Delete my data and we will delete it within 30 days.

Advertising and cookies

We may show ads served by Google and other third-party vendors. These vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. See also how Google uses data from partner sites.

Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a certified consent management platform before personalized ads are shown. US visitors can use the "Do not sell or share" option where provided.

Age

You must be 13 or older to add a display name or email. Ballpark is not directed to children under 13. If we learn a child under 13 created an account, we delete it.
